Background: Merisha comes from a family marked by hardship and adversity. She is one of eight children born to Janat, each from different fathers. Their family struggles to survive amidst financial instability and the absence of a stable parental figure.

Challenges: Merisha’s father abandoned the family, leaving Janat to bear the responsibility of providing for their large family alone. Janat’s ability to work was further hindered by a broken leg two years ago, plunging them deeper into poverty. Despite Janat’s efforts to sustain them through a small chapatti business, the financial strain remains overwhelming.

Education: Merisha’s education is frequently disrupted due to the family’s financial struggles. Like her siblings, she is forced in and out of school, unable to access consistent education due to their challenging circumstances.
