Location: Bujuuta C, Nyenga, Uganda.

Background: Ronald lives with his mother and nine siblings in Bujuuta C. His mother, despite working odd jobs, struggles to provide for the large family after her husband abandoned them.

Challenges: Financial constraints make it challenging for Ronald’s mother to balance expenses such as rent and education for her children. Consequently, Ronald’s schooling becomes inconsistent, with him frequently being in and out of school due to financial constraints.

Daily life: Ronald diligently attends to household chores and looks after his younger siblings in his mother’s absence, ensuring their safety and well-being. At a tender age, Ronald has assumed a role of maturity beyond his years, displaying resilience and resourcefulness in managing the responsibilities thrust upon him. From preparing meals to assisting with homework, like a responsible young caretaker amidst the challenges of their daily routine.
