Location: Bulyankulege, Nyenga, Uganda

Background: Benjamin faced abandonment at birth, left in the care of his grandmother who also cares for five other children.

Challenges: With limited resources and responsibilities for multiple children, Benjamin’s grandmother struggles to provide consistent education for him. As a result, Benjamin’s schooling is irregular, and he often misses classes.

Dreams: Despite his challenging circumstances, Benjamin dreams of becoming a doctor when he grows up. He aspires to make a positive impact on others’ lives through medical care and service to his community.

Education: Benjamin is currently in Primary 3, but his education is disrupted by his family’s circumstances. Despite this, he remains hopeful and determined to pursue his dream of becoming a doctor. Benjamin is a big help to his grandmother as he constantly helps her with the various chores the small village demands. Things like weeding and splitting firewood to name a few.
